Our school faculty and students participated in the International Promotion Conference of the Optometry Program at Dongshin University, South Korea

On April 9th, Dongshin University of South Korea held an online seminar on the internationalization of the optometry program. Li Guanying, the head of the Optometry and Health Department at Guangzhou Finance and Trade Vocational School, Liang Zhenwen, the director of the Cooperation and Exchange Office, and student representatives from the optometry program attended the event in person, while some representatives from the parental committee participated online. The event focused on professional development and the cultivation of international talent, aiming to deepen cooperation between the two schools and help students expand their career development perspectives.

At the presentation, representatives from Dongshin University in South Korea provided a detailed introduction to the unique features of their optometry program, the Sino-Korean cooperative education project in optometry, the international curriculum system, and focused on sharing industry prospects and practical resources. Two Chinese students studying in South Korea gave impressive presentations, allowing students and parents to gain a deeper understanding of the study abroad process and living conditions in South Korea. Nearly 200 students from our School of Optometry and Health, along with representatives from the parent committee, actively participated online and engaged in discussions regarding course integration, language training, and other details.

This presentation is a further collaboration following the online exchange meeting between our school and Dongshin University in South Korea in January 2025. It is also an important initiative for our school to promote the internationalization of vocational education. In the future, our school will continue to deepen cooperation with high-quality overseas institutions, providing students with a diversified growth platform and promoting the cultivation of international professional talents!
