Our School's Teacher Attends the 2023 Asian Optometric Congress in Singapore

From September 25th to 29th, Liu Nian, a teacher from the Department of Optometry and Health, attended the 2023 Asian Optometric Congress (AOC) in Singapore as one of the representative members of the China Optometric Association.

The congress gathered renowned optometry experts from Asia and around the world to deliver lectures on cutting-edge knowledge, and showcased new global optometry equipment. Teacher Liu Nian consulted with attending experts on the latest knowledge in myopia prevention, experienced new equipment, and exchanged insights on the optometrist education systems, management systems, and professional scope in the Asian region.

In addition, Professor Liu Nian visited the Mei Mei Optometry Clinic, operated by David, the chairman of the Singapore Optometric Association. Through Tencent Meeting, he live-streamed an introduction of this optometry clinic to students from Tianjin Vocational University and our school. He also went to the Optometry Program at Singapore Polytechnic to learn about their talent cultivation model, curriculum design, and practice management.

The multi-directional international exchange activities in the field of optometry this time have brought more future development considerations for the development of our school's profession and even the domestic industry.
