On the afternoon of March 28, Renee-Lu, the principal of the Portsmouth Chinese School in the UK, visited the Huqiao New Village Campus of Guangzhou Vocational School of Finance and Commerce. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as financial literacy education, the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture, and the sharing of curriculum resources. Xiao Yingzi, the director of the Smart Finance and Economics Department, Pan Hong, the deputy head of the Student Affairs Section, and representatives of the teaching staff participated in the meeting.

At the symposium, Director Xiao Yingzi provided a detailed introduction to the achievements of the school's financial literacy education base, focusing particularly on the design of financial literacy courses that leverage outstanding traditional Chinese culture. This course is based on the research findings of the project "Cross-Type, Cross-Grade, Cross-Discipline: The Connotation Construction of the Financial Literacy Education Base." By exploring financial thinking, it innovatively constructs a teaching system that combines cultural depth with practical value. Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions about the course and reached a consensus to collaboratively improve the course content and promote the dissemination and application of outstanding traditional Chinese culture in international education.

During the exchange, Deputy Section Chief Pan Hong showcased the traditional cultural achievements and distinctive intangible cultural heritage projects of the school's student clubs to Principal Renee and her delegation. From the art of Cantonese embroidery to the Lingnan lion dance culture, students have integrated intangible cultural heritage skills into modern campus life through practice, demonstrating the vitality and charm of Chinese culture. Principal Renee expressed high appreciation for the school's awareness of cultural inheritance.

During the symposium, both parties watched a video of Teacher Zhang Yu's seal carving experience course together. This course combines traditional art with modern aesthetic education, guiding students to appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese art through the practice of seal carving. Principal Renee expressed great interest in this and suggested introducing such unique course resources to Portsmouth Chinese School, so that more overseas young people can experience the intricacies of seal carving art.

This visit not only deepened the educational cooperation consensus between the Chinese and British schools but also opened new channels for the international dissemination of Chinese culture. In the future, our school will continue to promote the integration and innovation of traditional culture, collaborate with overseas education to create a high-quality cultural education platform, and contribute to the dissemination and application of outstanding Chinese traditional culture in international education.
